Lena Welch is a passionate advocate for sustainability within the film and TV production industry, bringing nearly a decade of on-set experience and a constant commitment to environmentally responsible practices. 

Her career began in the world of commercial production, where as a Production Assistant she first witnessed the significant impact that quick-moving productions have on local communities and environment at large. 

Lena’s expertise began to grow when, after years of working on set, she took on the role of Sustainability Steward at Lucasfilm. There she led the crew's efforts toward waste reduction and zero-waste hydration practices on set. Her success in this position ignited her drive to make broader changes in the industry. 

Later, as a consultant for Green Spark Group, Lena developed systems to cut emissions, fuel use, and material waste for various HBO shows in New York. She later returned to Los Angeles as a Regional Sustainability Advisor for Netflix, where she worked across departments to meet ambitious decarbonization goals.
